Let’s break it down.

Get to Know Me

The exfoliating step that brightens, nourishes and never strips.

Most facial scrubs get one thing right and one thing badly wrong.

The ones with large, sharp particles exfoliate effectively but
cause micro-tears in the skin barrier — leading to redness, sensitivity and sometimes more breakouts than you started with. The ones with gentle particles (sugar, for example) often dissolve in water before they do much work at all. And almost all of them strip the skin's natural oils in the process, leaving you dry and tight before you've even applied a single product.

The Azevita Brightening Facial Polish was built differently.

The exfoliating particles are fine and non-abrasive — gentle
enough for sensitive skin, effective enough to visibly smooth and brighten in a single use. But the real differentiator is the botanical base they sit in. Rosehip Oil delivers Vitamin A and essential fatty acids that support skin regeneration with every polish. Squalane — a skin-identical lipid — keeps the skin hydrated and balanced rather than stripped. Evening Primrose Oil improves skin elasticity and supports cell renewal. Goji Berry provides antioxidant protection and brightening support. Snow Lotus balances oil production and calms inflammation.

The result is a scrub that does the work of exfoliation without undoing your barrier, and leaves skin genuinely nourished rather than in recovery mode. Use it 2–3 times a week, and it becomes the step that makes everything else in your routine work better — because exfoliated skin absorbs serums and moisturisers faster, more evenly and more deeply than skin weighed down by dead cell build-up.

What to Expect

Texture & sensorial cues — exactly how the product will look, feel and behave on your skin.

  • Texture: Rich, creamy-balm base with fine exfoliating particles suspended throughout — not gritty, not chalky, not sugary
  • Colour: Warm, natural botanical colour from the Goji Berry, Rosehip and Evening Primrose blend
  • Scent: Subtle, natural botanical fragrance — the gentle
warmth of rosehip and evening primrose, nothing synthetic or overpowering
  • On Skin: Spreads easily on damp skin, the particles massage smoothly without dragging or scratching
  • Skin Feel After: Immediately soft, smooth and plumped —
reviewers consistently describe it as 'a visible difference after one use'
  • Action: Exfoliation + brightening + hydration + antioxidant defence + cell renewal support — all in one 2-minute step
  • Finish: Fresh, radiant, noticeably more even-toned — perfect base for the rest of your Azevita routine
  • Sensation: Gentle and comfortable — no stinging, no redness, no tightness, even on sensitive skin
How It Works (The Science)

1. Gentle Physical Exfoliation

Fine, non-abrasive particles work across the skin's surface to lift away dead skin cells, excess oil, residual sunscreen and daily environmental build-up — the layer that dulls complexion, clogs pores and reduces how effectively serums and moisturisers absorb. Unlike coarse scrubs that drag and tear, these particles massage rather than scratch, making them safe for twice or three-times-weekly use on all skin types including sensitive.

2. Skin Regeneration Support (Rosehip Oil)

Rosehip Oil is one of the most clinically respected regenerative oils in skincare. Rich in Vitamin A (in its plant form, trans-retinoic acid), essential fatty acids (omega-3, omega-6 and omega-9) and natural antioxidants, it supports the skin's ability to renew and repair itself — fading scarring, reducing pigmentation over consistent use and rebuilding a healthy, even skin surface. Applied during physical exfoliation, Rosehip Oil's active compounds reach freshly exposed skin for maximum penetration.

3. Hydration Without Congestion (Squalane)

Squalane is a skin-identical lipid — your body produces it naturally, but production declines sharply after age 25. As a topical ingredient, it provides deep, lightweight hydration without clogging pores, and balances oil production without adding shine. In this formula, it ensures the exfoliation step leaves skin hydrated rather than stripped — counteracting the drying effect most scrubs cause and making it uniquely well-suited to oily and
acne-prone skin types.

4. Cell Renewal & Elasticity (Evening Primrose Oil)

Rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) — an essential fatty acid
that supports the skin's structural integrity — Evening Primrose Oil promotes collagen production, enhances cell turnover and improves skin elasticity over consistent use. Its anti inflammatory properties also help calm any redness or sensitivity that might occur during exfoliation, making the polish more comfortable for reactive skin types.

5. Antioxidant Brightening (Goji Berry)

One of the most antioxidant-rich botanicals on earth, Goji
Berry provides a concentrated dose of zeaxanthin, beta-carotene and natural Vitamin C. These antioxidants neutralise the free radicals that drive dullness, uneven tone and early skin ageing — and stimulate collagen production to support skin firmness over time. Applied directly onto freshly exfoliated,
clean skin, their penetration and brightening effect is amplified compared to leave-on products alone.

6. Oil Balance & Complexion Clarity (Snow Lotus)

A botanical extract with a centuries-long history in East
Asian traditional medicine, Snow Lotus controls excess sebum production without stripping the skin of its natural moisture — making it particularly useful for oily and combination skin types who want to exfoliate without triggering
rebound oil production. Its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce the redness and irritation that acne-prone skin is vulnerable to during physical exfoliation.

How to Use

2–3 times a week. Two minutes. The polish step that makes your whole routine work better.

Step-by-Step

1. Dampen: Splash your face with warm water — not hot. Warm water softens the skin surface, making exfoliation more effective and more comfortable.

2. Dispense: Scoop a pea-sized amount (approximately the size of a ₹2 coin) onto clean fingertips.

3. Apply: Dot across forehead, cheeks, nose, chin and neck.

4. Massage: Using upward, circular motions, massage gently
across the entire face and neck for 60–90 seconds. Use light pressure — the exfoliating particles do the work; you don't need to press.

5. Rinse: Wash off thoroughly with cool water. Pat (don't rub) dry with a soft towel.

6. Follow: Continue immediately with your Azevita routine — Goji Face Wash (optional on polish days), Brightening Toner, Serum,
Day Cream, SPF

Frequency

2–3 times per week. Do not use daily — your skin needs rest days between exfoliation sessions to repair and renew. Twice weekly is ideal for sensitive skin; three times for oily or normal skin.

Pro Tips

  • Use it in the shower — steam softens the skin and makes
the exfoliation step even more effective.
  • On polish days, you can skip the face wash and go
straight to toner after rinsing — the polish has already done the deep cleansing work.
  • For an intensive brightening boost: apply the polish,
leave on for 2 minutes before massaging and rinsing — acts as a mild brightening mask.
  • Apply on slightly damp, not dripping-wet skin — too
much water dilutes the formula and reduces exfoliation efficacy.
  • Always follow with SPF in the morning after exfoliating
    — freshly exfoliated skin is more photosensitive.
Why You'll Love It

The reason most brightening routines plateau isn't the serums
or the moisturisers — it's the surface they're being applied to.

Serums absorb into skin. But when that skin is covered in a layer of dead cells, excess oil and daily build-up, the serum is competing with everything sitting between it and your skin. The result is inconsistent absorption, patchy brightness and results that never quite match the ingredient list.

The Brightening Facial Polish removes that competition. Two to three minutes of gentle exfoliation twice a week clears the surface so every other product in your routine works at full efficiency — brighter immediately, more absorbent for serum and moisturiser, and visibly more even-toned over weeks of consistent use.

And because this polish is oil-based, the exfoliation never strips. Rosehip Oil, Squalane and Evening Primrose Oil nourish the skin as the particles work — so you step away from the basin with skin that feels hydrated and plumped rather than tight and raw.

Kavya Sheoran said it best in her review: 'The scent, the texture, the glow it gives — everything about this is perfect. I felt a visible
difference after one use.' That's the Azevita promise brightening skincare that works gently, consistently and affordably enough to become a genuine long-term ritual.

Ingredients

Inside Every Jar — Five Botanical Superfoods for Brighter, Softer Skin

1. Rosehip Oil

Skin Regeneration  •  Brightening  •  Anti-Scarring  •  Hydrating

Rich in Vitamin A, omega fatty acids and natural antioxidants,
Rosehip Oil is one of the most clinically respected regenerative oils in skincare. It minimises scars, fades pigmentation, supports skin healing and rejuvenates the complexion for a smoother, more even tone — applied during exfoliation for maximum penetration into freshly cleared skin.

2. Squalane

Non-Greasy Hydration  •  Oil-Balancing  •  Skin-Identical  •
Pore-Safe

A lightweight, skin-identical lipid that provides deep hydration without clogging pores or adding shine. Squalane counteracts the
drying effect most scrubs cause — balancing oil production and keeping skin hydrated and fresh throughout the exfoliation step and after rinsing.

3. Evening Primrose Oil

Cell Renewal  •  Collagen Support  •  Anti-Inflammatory  •
Elasticity-Boosting

High in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), Evening Primrose Oil enhances skin cell turnover, promotes collagen production and improves skin elasticity. Its anti-inflammatory properties calm redness during exfoliation, making the polish comfortable even for reactive skin — leaving skin smooth, supple and noticeably more radiant after every use.

4. Goji Berry

Antioxidant  •  Brightening  •  Collagen-Stimulating  •  Anti-Pigmentation

Packed with zeaxanthin, beta-carotene, natural Vitamin C and
minerals, Goji Berry neutralises the free radicals that dull skin and drive pigmentation. Applied during exfoliation when pores are open and the surface is freshly cleared, its antioxidant compounds penetrate more effectively — stimulating
collagen production and supporting a naturally radiant complexion.

5. Snow Lotus

Oil-Balancing  • Anti-Inflammatory  •  Brightening  •  Clarifying

A revered botanical in East Asian traditional medicine, Snow Lotus controls excess sebum production without stripping the skin of natural moisture. Reduces inflammation that drives acne and redness, helps brighten the complexion and prevents the congestion that causes uneven skin tone — particularly valuable for oily and acne-prone skin types using a physical exfoliant.

A Note From Our Founder

Why exfoliation is the most underrated step in brightening skincare.

When people tell me their brightening serum isn't working, the
first question I ask is: are you exfoliating?

Most of the time, the answer is no. And that's usually the
whole story. A brightening serum applied over dead cell build-up is like trying
to water a garden through a tarpaulin — some of it gets through, but not nearly
as much as it should.

The Azevita Brightening Facial Polish was created to be the
step that makes everything else in the Azevita routine work better. Not a
replacement for your serum or your day cream, but the prep work that lets them
penetrate, absorb and perform the way they were designed to.

We formulated it around botanical oils — Rosehip, Squalane, Evening
Primrose — because most scrubs treat exfoliation as a stripping exercise. We
wanted a polish that left skin more hydrated after use, not less. The Goji Berry
brings the antioxidant story that runs through the whole Azevita line. The Snow
Lotus brings the oil-balancing support that makes it

genuinely safe for oily and acne-prone skin — the skin types
most afraid of a scrub.

Use it twice a week, consistently. Pay attention to how your
serum and moisturiser feel on freshly polished skin compared to a skip day. The
difference is usually enough to make it a non-negotiable part of the ritual.

With love, Manisha Chopra.
