Why we built two different sunscreens for two different customers.

This Azevita UV Defense is built for — oily skin, acne-prone skin, combination skin, customers who get shiny by midday with traditional sunscreens, customers who want a matte oil-controlling finish, customers who prefer botanical ingredients (Azelaic, Vitamin C, Peony Extract, Squalane) over mineral ones.

Selling both makes sense because Indian skin isn't one type. The 28-year-old oily-skinned engineer in Bangalore who hates how regular sunscreens make her shine by 11am needs something different than the 45-year-old normal-skinned founder in Delhi who prefers richer formulations. We tried to genuinely serve both rather than splitting the difference with one compromise product.
